   General Physics Corp. (GP), the operating subsidiary of GP Strategies Corp. (Elkridge, MD), has formed a strategic alliance with INERCO (Seville, Spain) under which the two companies will jointly provide combustion control technologies to power-generating and refining facilities in North America. The alliance will combine INERCO’s ABACO combustion optimization technologies with GP’s EtaPRO performance and condition monitoring system to reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides and greenhouse gases. “By combining newly developed EtaPRO Advanced Pattern Recognition (APR) technologies with INERCO’s combustion optimization technologies, which until now have not been available in North America, our customers will be able to more precisely control the combustion process throughout the unit’s operating range,” said Joe Nasal, senior vice president of energy services at GP.
