Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (Pasadena, CA) announced that it has strengthened its design capabilities through the acquisition of KlingStubbins (Philadelphia, PA), an architecture, engineering, and planning firm specializing in interiors. KlingStubbins employs approximately 500 people at five offices in the United States and one in Beijing, China. Jacobs said that the newly acquired firm’s areas of specialization reinforce high-growth markets for Jacobs, particularly higher education institutions, research and development laboratories, and mission-critical areas such as cyber security and corporate data centers. “KlingStubbins’ talented employees and strong client relationships align well with our relationship-based business model,” said Jacobs President and CEO Craig Martin. “This acquisition allows us to further diversify our services and drive greater growth in our business.”
